Phases to success
Note: All phases below will be part of their own program that will go down to the detail. This will allow for proper budgeting and tracking of progress. Each one of these programs will be under a portfolio for a large region or country depending on the size. The following are the high level programs that will be created and maintained for each portfolio to be successful
1. Procuring the land:
We will be procuring the rights to reforest the land working with farmers and Governments who currently hold ownership.
2. Surveying the land:
First we will have surveyors go into the forest to determine what the surrounding flora fauna is. We will also have zoologist determine the general animal demographics in the area.
3. Gathering seeds:
We will have seed gatherers collect local seeds to be used to repopulate 20 Billion trees a year. Nurseries will be created on farmer's land and private land to build the necessary population for our ongoing replanting effort.
4. Preparing the land:
The land must be prepared to accommodate the new trees; shrubs; and ground covering plants that will be planted.
This will include fungal inoculation of the ground and organic composting to maximize the lands ability to ward off anaerobic bacteria for optimal tree growth.
5. Dividing the land:
Each plot of land will be unique and will need to be sectioned accordingly, but it is still our goal to produce income for those who will need to remain to tend to the land and give them the ability to be sustainable for future longevity, commitment, and protection of the land. Our goal is to replant 80 % of the land in the Akira Miyawaki style, only selecting local trees and creating dense rapidly growing forests. 10 % will be converted to a food forest dedicated to local fruits and nuts for future profit. 5% will be dedicated to seed production/ and nursery efforts for the continuation of the reforest project. This will also allow for additional of the land owner. 2.5% percent will be dedicated to Bee habitat, and will also be another revenue stream for the Farmer. 2.5% will be dedicated to permaculture (Jeff Lawton) to allow the farmer/owner and the helpers to be self-sufficient as it relates to the ability to feed themselves.
6. Planting:
We will be working with Agro, Forestry, and Mechanical engineers to create specialized machines that will have the ability to plant trees on a massive scale. This will be done in cooperation with some of the larger forestry companies like CAT or John Deere.
7. Maintaining:
Once the land has been reforested we will need workers to maintain its growth for a time frame of no less than 4yrs. They will assist in all necessary efforts related to optimizing the growth of the forest.
8. Prevention:
Each Site will be fixed with a listening device that can pinpoint the cutting of the surrounding forest and communicate to local agencies and government for any illegal logging instantly. This effort will help reduce the unchecked logging pristine forest.
